May 8, 2007 Last week I once again had the unique experience of taking a business trip to my least favorite city (so far) in the USA. Las Vegas is hot, dry and toally unsistainable in the large scheme of things. There is no water there at all except when it rains and then the place floods. But the national board of directors for a program we want to produce a TV show about was meeting there. So the business part of the trip went well. Rodeo Queens are a uniquely American icon and the group we met with holds an annual pageant where young women from all over the world come to compete for the honor to be "Miss Rodeo America" for a year. We have been pursuing the rights to this competition for 15 months. the television program's slogan we have in mind is "Rodeo Queens --beauty, grit and speed." But the biggest downside of the trip is I brought home a cold. Snif. |
